THE CIRCULATORY SYSTEM II

Blood vessels are:

·         Arteries: Transport blood away from the heart towards all body tissues.

·         Veins: Transport blood back to the heart from all body tissues.

·         Capillaries: Very thin walls .These walls allow nutrients and oxygen to pass into the body cells, and for carbon dioxide and other waste products to leave the cells.

 

Los vasos sanguíneos son:

·         Arterias: Transportan la sangre fuera del corazón a través de todos los tejidos del cuerpo.

·         Venas: Transportan la sangre de vuelta al corazón desde todos los tejidos del cuerpo.

·         Capilares: Tienen paredes muy finas.  Esas paredes permiten a los nutrientes y al oxígeno entrar a las células del cuerpo y al dióxido de carbono y otros productos de desecho salir.
